Requirements Engineer Expert (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Translate mission and community needs into clearly defined capability and system-level requirements for Platform Engineering, Products & Engagement, and Front Office stakeholders.
• Conduct authorization reviews, user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify operational needs and create validated, testable requirements.
• Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices across the acquisition lifecycle and align strategic thresholds, operational objectives, performance metrics, funding, and program objectives.
• Produce Human-Centered Design artifacts including user personas, workflows, wireframes, and content inventories.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and test teams on requirements validation, test planning, evaluation, and DoD milestone reviews such as SRR, PDR, and CDR.
• Represent program needs in Integrated Product Teams, Steering Committees, Governance Boards, and interagency advisory groups; analyze vendor licensing and performance metrics and support acquisition and technical documentation.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong understanding of DoD 5000 acquisition processes and lifecycle documentation.
• Experience developing and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices.
• Expertise in user research methodologies and translating research findings into requirements.
• Proficiency in developing Human-Centered Design deliverables, including personas, wireframes, and workflows.
• Familiarity with test planning and collaboration with systems engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of dashboard and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Kibana, ESRI, and ArcGIS.
• Ability to analyze performance and licensing metrics, including financial tracking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to represent programs in high-level governance and advisory settings.
• Knowledge of NGA initiatives, digital transformation, and AI/ML integration within federal programs.
