Intern - Application Analyst (Financials Software)

Location: Hybrid from the Mandan, North Dakota office; minimum three days per week in the office, with the ability to work up to all five days from the office.

What you will do

• Research, analyze, and document software functionality and business requirements for the Financials Software product.
• Support application analysts and development teams in evaluating software enhancements and change requests.
• Create and maintain functional diagrams, workflow diagrams, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand software designs, interfaces, and database structures.
• Assist with quality assurance activities, including unit and system integration testing.
• Research and help resolve software-related issues while maintaining information in Confluence and/or the iVUE Support tool.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in software analysis, business systems, and technology solutions.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of databases and data structures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and business processes quickly, organize and prioritize multiple tasks, work independently and in a team, interact professionally with internal and external contacts, and adapt effectively to change.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and commitment to hirify.global’s Statement of Shared Values.

Nice to have

• Experience using agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Augment, JetBrains Junie, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex.
