What you will do

• Design and implement robust backend solutions for the collection and normalisation of large volumes of global trading data.
• Translate high-level architecture and design models into detailed technical specifications and production-quality code.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using profiling tools such as JProfiler and Yourkit.
• Troubleshoot complex datasets and code using AI tools, Linux scripting, Splunk, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with global multi-functional teams to ensure data completeness and resilience across server environments.
• Make technology decisions based on competitive landscape expertise to drive client advantage.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience with strong core Java expertise in a Linux environment.
• Experience with network programming (TCP/UDP) and low-level byte-level encoding/decoding.
• Proven ability to manipulate and sort high-volume, complex data structures.
• Proficiency in Git, Confluence, JIRA, and IntelliJ.
• Full working rights in Australia (Australian citizenship or permanent residency status required).

Nice to have

• Experience in financial markets or trade surveillance environments.
