Network Lead (Infrastructure)

TL;DR

Network Lead (Infrastructure): Managing the end-to-end design, installation, and optimization of LAN/WAN and Voice infrastructure with an accent on network security and service facilitation. Focus on overseeing MSPs, managing high-tier escalations, and administering Cloudflare edge services to ensure system stability and security.

Location: Hybrid in Dublin, Ireland (requires onsite presence 2-3 days per week)

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end design, installation, and optimization of the organization’s LAN/WAN network and Voice infrastructure.
• Oversee WAN performance and serve as the primary technical contact for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure SLAs.
• Configure and maintain switches, routers, cabling, VLANs, and wireless infrastructure (WLAN controllers, APs).
• Administer Cloudflare edge services, including WAF, DDoS protection, and bot management, alongside DNS configuration.
• Act as the top-tier escalation point for complex network issues and security alerts for Tier II engineers.
• Manage RFPs, contracts, and technical reviews with carriers and network providers.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ireland.
• 5+ years of experience in network administration or management.
• Deep understanding of LAN/WLAN technologies, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Aruba equipment.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent certifications in network security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred.
