What you will do

• Design and evolve AI services across modalities including embeddings, OCR, speech-to-text, and LLM completions.
• Develop production-grade orchestration flows for LLM-based agents, including tool calling and routing.
• Build and optimize retrieval pipelines using RAG and event-driven data ingestion.
• Implement high-performance async API services and serverless infrastructure using AWS.
• Design multi-tenant database schemas with strict data isolation guarantees.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on backend and AI engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Hands-on production experience with LLM orchestration, agent runtimes, or multi-step AI systems.
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS systems with strict tenant data isolation.
• Deep knowledge of AWS serverless services (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, S3, OpenSearch, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed system design.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG, vector databases, and retrieval infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AWS CDK, Terraform, and Docker-based deployments.
• Familiarity with multimodal processing for video, image, text, and audio.
• Experience with the Python ecosystem: FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.
• Background in privacy-sensitive or security-critical environments.
