CMCD Intern (Fintech): Building consolidated databases for debt, equity, and transaction comparables to support live deal execution with an accent on financial modeling and M&A target evaluation. Focus on creating investor-grade materials, managing cash flow waterfalls, and interfacing with external financial partners.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA). Must be present in the office 4 days per week

Salary: $41 – $54 per hour

What you will do

• Build and maintain consolidated databases for debt, equity, and transaction comparables to support live deal execution.
• Evaluate potential M&A targets and prepare supporting financial analyses.
• Develop deal-level financial models, including cash flow waterfalls and merger models.
• Prepare analysis and board-facing materials to support transaction decisions.
• Interface with lenders, bankers, advisors, strategic partners, and founders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MBA.
• Prior experience in investment banking, corporate development, or private equity.
• Must be based in San Francisco and able to work from the office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in TMT coverage, leveraged finance, or M&A.
• Experience executing debt and equity transactions for high-growth or capital-intensive industries.
