Facility Security Officer (FSO) (Industrial Security): Overseeing and managing all aspects of industrial security at a cleared facility under NISP and NISPOM regulations with an accent on compliance and government coordination. Focus on maintaining Facility Clearance Level (FCL), managing personnel security clearances via DISS/NBIS, and executing core security functions required by DCSA.

Location: Hybrid (regular on-site presence 2 days per week in McLean, VA)

What you will do

• Serve as the appointed FSO ensuring full compliance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and DCSA requirements.
• Maintain the organization's Facility Clearance Level (FCL) and handle reporting within NISS.
• Manage personnel security actions, including investigations and clearance maintenance using DISS and NBIS.
• Implement Standard Practice Procedures (SPPs), OPSEC plans, and insider threat reporting protocols.
• Coordinate with DCSA representatives, government sponsors, and internal leadership on all security matters.
• Lead self-inspections and DCSA Security Reviews, ensuring timely resolution of any vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance is required at the time of application.
• Completion of the CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities course.
• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Homeland Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial security, with at least 2 years in classified operations.
• Proficiency with DISS, NBIS, SWFT, and NISS.
• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in McLean, VA (2 days per week on-site).

Nice to have

• Experience with secure facility construction and accreditation (e.g., SCIF, SAPF).
• Working knowledge of Insider Threat Program requirements and OPSEC implementation.
• Experience with subcontractor security management and classified contract execution.
