What you will do

• Own full-cycle U.S. payroll processing across multiple states on a semi-monthly basis.
• Manage payroll systems to ensure accurate calculations of wages, overtime, and variable compensation.
• Partner with the PEO to establish compliance requirements as the company expands into new states.
• Administer payroll-related benefits, including 401(k), HSA, and FSA programs.
• Coordinate with People Enablement on payroll changes for new hires, terminations, and open enrollment.
• Monitor federal, state, and local payroll legislation (FLSA, EEOC) to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing full-cycle, multi-state payroll operations.
• Experience in a technology or scale-up startup environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting payroll for organizations with 500+ employees.
• Strong understanding of PEO models and functionality.
• In-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll laws and compliance.
• Must be based in Denver for on-site work.
