Inventory Accountant

TL;DR

Inventory Accountant: Managing, analyzing, and accurately reporting all inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)–related financial activities with an accent on ensuring the integrity of inventory balances. Focus on supporting monthly and quarterly close processes, and partnering closely with Supply Chain and Operations to deliver timely and reliable financial information in accordance with US GAAP.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid - 3 days in office per week)

What you will do

• Monitor, reconcile, and analyze inventory balances and related accounts.
• Perform monthly inventory close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and variance analysis.
• Review and validate inventory transactions such as receipts, adjustments, transfers, and write-offs.
• Partner with Operations to support cycle counts and physical inventories and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for inventory and COGS-related accounts.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1 to 3+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on inventory or cost accounting.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Very good written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• US work hours overlap would be required
