Principal Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Principal Engineer (Python/AWS): Building and delivering financial systems roadmaps for the Custom Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) business with an accent on large-scale distributed systems and microservices. Focus on designing high-efficiency technical deliverables, optimizing continuous delivery, and bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in Atlanta, Georgia (minimum four days per week in office)

What you will do

• Lead the technical delivery of Finance Systems roadmaps, guiding technical architects and developers.
• Design and implement large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and AWS-based applications.
• Conduct solution design workshops to assess business and operational requirements.
• Promote engineering excellence through DevOps, Agile delivery, and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Perform quality assurance testing, including unit, systems, and integration testing, and develop automated scripts.
• Analyze requirements to identify operational inefficiencies and provide optimal technical solutions.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in application development and implementing enterprise solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Git, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Extensive experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, EKS, and SQS.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and scheduler technologies (e.g., Airflow, Autosys).
• Proficiency with third-party libraries, APIs, and ESB/EDI technologies such as MuleSoft.
• Must be based in Atlanta, Georgia and comply with the hybrid workplace policy.
