What you will do

• Manage procurement, receiving, and inventory of lab reagents, supplies, and materials, including vendor negotiations for discounts.
• Handle instrumentation maintenance, service tickets, downtime communication, preventative maintenance scheduling, and user training.
• Ensure lab safety and EHS compliance through training monitoring, inspections, waste management, chemical inventories, and emergency coordination.
• Maintain shared spaces like tissue culture areas, refrigerators, freezers, and cell line tracking systems.
• Support regulatory tasks for IBC/ORSP and lead operations without formal authority, communicating with PIs and resolving conflicts.

Requirements

• BS in life sciences with 6+ years or MS with 4+ years of related experience in laboratory operations or management.
• Experience with mammalian cells and tissue culture required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication, and ability to lead without authority.
• Familiarity with lab safety protocols, EHS regulations, waste management, and tools like scheduling/inventory software.

Nice to have

• Experience with molecular biology techniques (nucleic acid extraction, cloning, PCR).
