What you will do

• Conduct advanced laboratory procedures and quality testing for veterinary biologicals, including viruses, bacteria, and cell lines.
• Perform laboratory testing using aseptic technique in accordance with regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Set up and operate laboratory equipment, maintain work areas, and manage required documentation.
• Enter test results into the quality control tracking system and cross-check records, charts, and logbooks.
• Perform mathematical calculations, conversions, and formulations, and report unusual occurrences.
• Accumulate, label, and manage hazardous, universal, and infectious waste when assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation, microscopic analysis, and biological assays.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and Good Laboratory Practices.
• Analytical aptitude, critical thinking, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, including coolers and freezers, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Rabies titer and vaccination required after accepting the offer; the procedure is performed onsite.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a science discipline.
• SAP experience or knowledge.
• Experience with LIMS for environmental monitoring.
