What you will do

• Shape the AI/ML roadmap and long-term vision in partnership with leadership, expanding AI in products like Game Review, Play Coach, FairPlay, and new initiatives like human-like bots and personalized coaching.
• Bring and refine ideas collaboratively, engaging with feedback from leadership and peers to build the vision together.
• Operate asynchronously in a global remote environment, communicating openly in channels, making decisions with reasoning, and maximizing sync time for key questions.
• Partner deeply with engineering from early stages through delivery, shaping technical approaches, writing specs, unblocking issues, and driving execution.
• Define success metrics and quality bars without precedent, setting evaluation criteria, making data-informed decisions, and balancing qualitative and quantitative feedback.
• Use AI tools to prototype, test flows, evaluate models, and de-risk ideas before engineering investment.

Requirements

• Love chess, familiar with hirify.global products and chess history in AI advancement.
• Extensive experience as product manager shipping consumer-facing products with LLM and/or AI/ML features.
• Deep collaboration with engineering teams to define success in ambiguous environments.
• Regular communication with executive stakeholders.
• Technical fluency to discuss pipelines, data, and execution details.
• Substantial time zone overlap with US Eastern and Pacific hours.

Nice to have

• 7+ years in product management, 4+ shipping consumer AI/ML products.
• Excellent product taste in chess context, understanding user needs at different skill levels.
• Technically fluent, comfortable with model evals, metrics, and AI-assisted code.
• AI-native, using AI daily for prototyping and execution.
• High-velocity written communication across multiple workstreams.
