What you will do

• Communicate and educate members/providers on insurance benefits and digital health solutions.
• Use negotiation and motivational interviewing to increase member engagement.
• Provide proactive/reactive support via outbound phone/email/text outreach.
• Handle difficult calls professionally, document interactions, and build trust.
• Track and document work in internal software tools.
• Consult teams, manage escalations, and assist with coding, pre-certification, and appeals.
• Interact with external providers for clinical information and care support.

Requirements

• Must have current, unrestricted Texas nursing license or Compact License (include license number and state in resume).
• 1-2 years experience at a health plan, preferably commercial population.
• 3-5 years nursing experience in clinical setting with direct patient care (hospital/ambulatory).
• Diploma from accredited nursing school.
• Working knowledge of medical/insurance terminology, health benefits, CPT/ICD10, authorizations.
• Experience outreaching/educating members telephonically.
• Dedicated private workspace, high-speed internet, and ability to secure sensitive documents.

Nice to have

• Interest/experience in cardiology/pulmonology, women’s health, orthopedics, primary care/pediatrics, oncology.
• Familiarity with Salesforce/Healthcloud/CareIQ.
• Call center experience.
• Spanish fluency (conversational).
