What you will do
- Integrate and test control electronics and instrumentation (RF, DC) under senior guidance.
- Characterize, simulate, and design RF hardware such as bias tees and filters for room and cryogenic temperatures.
- Prototype RF sub-systems on PCB for qubit control, ensuring proper electromechanical integration in cryostats or racks.
- Analyze RF manufacturing technologies (substrates, connectors, packaging) regarding performance and EMC.
- Perform lab measurements and data acquisition using VNAs and spectrum analyzers.
- Develop and automate test programs in Python to validate system hardware conformity.
Requirements
- Engineering or Master's student specializing in microwave frequencies, RF electronics, applied physics, or instrumentation.
- Solid understanding of RF systems, S-Parameters, and wave propagation.
- Experience with RF test equipment, including VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, and oscilloscopes.
- Proficiency with RF CAD tools such as HFSS or Keysight ADS.
- Familiarity with Python for data analysis (NumPy, scikit-rf, matplotlib).
- English: B1/B2 level required.
