What you will do

• Design, build, and operate reconciliation systems to track desired stack state and repair drift across templates and configurations.
• Develop control-plane services and workflows that keep stack state aligned across grafana.com, SSS, and cloud regions.
• Improve operational efficiency by reducing deployment complexity and contributing to the Stack Config Reconciliation project.
• Manage rollout mechanisms for provisioned plugins, dashboards, data sources, and Grafana versions.
• Support new region and cluster rollouts to bring stacks online safely.
• Own production behavior by improving runbooks, dashboards, alerts, and incident recovery procedures.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Golang.
• Experience working on a large SaaS platform dealing with distributed systems problems (scalability, multi-tenancy, HA).
• Strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Helm, Terraform, or Jsonnet.
• At least 1 year of fully remote work experience.
• Experience with blameless incident response and writing high-quality post-incident reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with Kubernetes control-plane patterns, operators, or reconcilers.
• Knowledge of Jsonnet/Tanka, Flux, or Argo.
• Experience with SaaS provisioning, tenancy, or regional expansion systems.
