TL;DR

Frontend JavaScript Engineer (React/Node): Building modern web and mobile applications that integrate with hardware systems used on live construction sites with an accent on front-end development, data synchronisation, and performance optimisation. Focus on developing software for Raspberry Pi and connected devices, collaborating with R&D team in agile environment, and contributing to product improvements.

Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire | Hybrid (2–3 Days Onsite)

Salary: £60,000–£70,000

What you will do

  • Build front-end applications using React.js and modern JavaScript
  • Develop software for web, mobile, and hardware-integrated systems including Raspberry Pi
  • Work with Node.js, Electron.js, REST APIs, OAuth, and data synchronisation
  • Collaborate closely with R&D team in agile environment
  • Contribute to performance optimisation, testing, and product improvements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial JavaScript development experience
  • Strong front-end development background across web and mobile
  • Experience working within agile software teams
  • Comfortable working in smaller, fast-moving environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
