What you will do

• Conduct steady-state transmission analysis using TARA to evaluate large load/data center interconnections, identify upgrade risks, and assess mitigations.
• Support interconnection and transmission service requests in ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM.
• Review utility/ISO/consultant studies for feasibility, upgrades, and risks.
• Develop Python tools, dashboards for interconnection evaluation and prioritization.
• Leverage AI tools like Perplexity and GitHub Copilot for workflow automation and research.
• Engage in technical discussions with utilities, consultants, grid operators; monitor market developments.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred, focus on Power/Energy Systems)
• 3+ years in power/energy industry, focus on transmission/interconnection/power systems
• Strong power systems analysis, TARA proficiency (PSS/E preferred)
• Strong Python for automation/data analysis
• Knowledge of ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM processes/rules
• Analytical, communication skills; MS Office proficiency

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tools (Perplexity, GitHub Copilot)
• Experience in large load/data center integration, regulatory/market reforms
