What you will do

• Identify trends by speaking to the market and backing findings with data
• Write monthly long-form data trend pieces on issuance, pricing, structuring, and investor activity
• Monitor CLO markets and connect with wider debt market verticals like distressed debt, leveraged finance, and private credit
• Maintain databases by sourcing private market information and contributing to new datasets
• Generate ideas and deliver clear, concise reporting under deadline pressure

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in financial journalism (structured credit or debt capital markets experience a strong positive)
• Personable with natural ability to connect with senior investors, bankers, and asset managers
• Driven, endlessly curious, self-motivated, and passionate about quality work
• Organised to maintain networks, story pipeline, and deadlines
• Communicative, clear in written/verbal language, able to explain complex ideas simply
• Analytical with comfort handling large datasets, proficiency in Excel and PowerBI
