Salary: $100,000-140,000 (depending on experience)

What you will do
- Break news by hunting deals, uncovering private financings, and revealing motivations behind transactions
- Build and maintain a broad network of sources in asset-based finance, securitization, and private credit
- Spot trends and publish timely features on emerging market issues
- Parse complex financial jargon and translate it into clear, engaging copy
- Dig into numbers and data to support reporting
Requirements
- Source-driven newshound able to build and maintain a strong contact book
- Experience reporting on asset-backed markets or related areas like real estate, infrastructure, derivatives, fintech lending, or mortgages
- Strong writing skills for technical topics, pithy and plain style
- Comfortable analyzing numbers and financial data
- Location: New York with hybrid model
