Electrical Engineering Designer (MicroStation)

TL;DR

Electrical Engineering Designer (MicroStation): Drafting one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, and I&C diagrams for nuclear and environmental projects with an accent on low/medium voltage power distribution and industrial control systems. Focus on preparing specifications, data sheets, walkdown reports, and supporting construction activities including field walkdowns in radiological areas.

Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee, United States. Active DOE Q clearance required.

What you will do

• Draft one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, installation details, I&C diagrams, conduit/cable schedules, fire alarm and communication drawings in Bentley MicroStation.
• Prepare data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and other CAD drafters.
• Support construction and operational activities, including field walkdowns in radiological contaminated areas.

Requirements

• Active DOE Q clearance required (ability to obtain required).
• Associates or higher degree in technical field + minimum 6 years related experience, or high school diploma + 13+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with low/medium voltage power distribution, industrial control systems, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL508A.
• Little to no (<5%) travel; typical Mon.-Thur. 10-hour days (4/10 schedule).
