What you will do

• Design, develop, test, verify, and maintain engineering software for reactor design community.
• Port engineering software to modern computing architectures.
• Implement robust, user-friendly, automated tools for thermal hydraulic and reactor performance evaluation.
• Solve problems in software systems architecture, scientific programming, and parallel computing.
• Gather requirements from application developers, engineering users, and system administrators.
• Work on nuclear reactor physics, thermal performance, casualty analysis, and data science applications.

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering or science-related field + minimum 4 years relevant experience.
• US citizenship required. DOE L Clearance (or DOD equivalent) required.
• Strong programming skills in compiled (Java, C, C++, Fortran) and/or interpreted (Python) languages.
• Experience with software architecture (design, implementation, testing, maintenance, configuration).
• Experience with client-server systems across Windows/Linux, Java Swing, GUI.
• Parallel programming on supercomputing systems; agile methodology.
