Junior Data & Insights Specialist

Junior Data & Insights Specialist (Tableau): Assist with collecting, cleansing, and analyzing datasets to deliver actionable insights, comprehensive reports, and dashboards with an accent on data quality, visualization, and strategic recommendations. Focus on developing interactive dashboards, supporting analytics delivery, and bridging technical data expertise with business strategy.

Location: Based in the National Capital Region or available for remote work (US). Must be able to successfully complete, pass, and maintain a public trust investigation.

What you will do

• Provide entry-level support for analytics delivery, including analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and project management.
• Assist with capturing requirements, organizing traceability, and maintaining artifact inventories.
• Support creation and upkeep of documentation such as meeting notes, decision logs, and user guidance; help with data validation and stakeholder materials.
• Contribute to delivery documentation and support user validation and test execution.
• Deliver accurate data analyses and recommendations while upholding data quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Detect and address data challenges to ensure efficient data-driven initiatives.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau to communicate KPIs to stakeholders.
• Produce ad-hoc and recurring reports, analyses, and presentations for business operations and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology related field plus two (2) years of professional IT experience.
• Must be able to successfully complete, pass, and maintain a public trust investigation.
• Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations using data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written/verbal skills for translating technical info and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
