What you will do

• Own the design and implementation of major features and subsystems from concept through production.
• Develop high-quality production code using Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, and React.js.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, including indexing, performance, and data integrity.
• Build and maintain event-driven workflows using Kafka and Redis.
• Deploy, monitor, and debug containerized services in Kubernetes environments.
• Mentor associate and intermediate engineers through pairing, design reviews, and structured feedback.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in the Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem.
• Strong system design skills with experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL schema design and Kafka event-driven systems.
• Comfort operating containerized applications in Kubernetes.
• Must be based in the United States (as indicated by US-specific benefits and location requirements).

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services (MSK, RDS, EKS, S3, and Lambda).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong background in distributed caching strategies using Redis or Redshift ETL pipelines.
• Production experience with Python in backend systems.
