What you will do

• Partner with clients and internal teams on data formats, specifications, and integrations; communicate issues, timelines, and resolutions.
• Monitor pipelines, alerts, and file transfers; triage and resolve operational issues across functions.
• Automate file processing, validation, and monitoring using Databricks, Python, and Azure; reduce overhead and enable self-service.
• Implement monitoring for anomalies in healthcare files (834/837 formats); enhance logging, alerting, and data quality.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership with SQL, pipelines, and healthcare data; review code, debug, and guide investigations.
• Lead Data Operations team with standups, prioritization, coaching, documentation, and onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years SQL experience with complex queries; 3+ years ETL/data engineering and Big Data (Databricks, Python, Data Lakes).
• Proficiency in SQL, Azure Data Services (Data Factory), Databricks, Python; DevOps/Data DevOps concepts, data observability, quality frameworks.
• Healthcare experience: EDI formats (834, 837), eligibility/claims concepts, PHI/HIPAA handling.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; excellent communication for technical translation; cross-functional collaboration.
• Customer-first mindset; adaptability; documentation habits; onboarding/validation skills.
