Accounting Team Lead

Accounting Team Lead (Finance): Lead a team of analysts to ensure accurate and timely accounting closes and financial reporting with an accent on GAAP compliance, journal entries, and reconciliations. Focus on determining accounting treatments for new transactions, supervising team tasks, identifying process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: 100% Remote with 9:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Time schedule, Monday through Friday

What you will do

• Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure General Ledger accuracy.
• Supervise accounting team by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and guiding on complex issues.
• Apply US GAAP expertise to evaluate new transactions and determine accounting treatments.
• Prepare financial and management reports while ensuring policy compliance.
• Identify process gaps, implement controls, and collaborate with Treasury, Ops, and IT.
• Coordinate with auditors and manage audit deliverables.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written); submit resume in English
• Graduation or Post-Graduation in Accounting / Intermediate Chartered Accountancy (Inter-CA)
• 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting
• Preferred background in banking, real estate, or USA-based service business
• Sage, Advanced Excel, Power BI, US GAAP, financial reporting
• Leadership, ownership, teamwork, and prompt communication
