TL;DR
HR IT Project Manager (HR Tech): Planning, coordinating, and delivering IT solutions that support HR processes and organizational goals with an accent on end-to-end HR system implementations and enhancements. Focus on overseeing requirement gathering, process analysis, system configuration, testing coordination, change management, and post-go-live support.
Location: Hamburg, Germany (telecommuting possibilities, occasional travel depending on project)

What you will do
- Lead and manage HR IT projects from initiation to implementation, developing plans, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments
- Gather business requirements from HR stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications for IT teams and vendors
- Coordinate system configurations, integrations, data migrations, testing (SIT, UAT), and issue resolution
- Manage communication between HR, IT, and external providers; drive change management and post-go-live support
- Prepare status reports, present updates to leadership, and monitor continuous improvements
Requirements
- Excellent German & English language skills (written and spoken)
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree
- 3+ years project management experience, preferably in HR IT implementations within international and hybrid setups
- Consultancy experience highly regarded; experience with workforce management software a benefit
- Structured, results-driven with analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; facilitation and workshop experience
- Excellent business communication and presentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and stakeholders; self-motivated, independent or team player
- Willingness to travel occasionally (project-dependent)
