Senior Platform Engineer

Senior Platform Engineer (Azure/Kubernetes): Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure for a SaaS data management platform with an accent on reliability, security, and scalability across compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes-based deployments. Focus on developing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices to support high-scale applications handling billions of records.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and operate cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, databases, networking, security) using Terraform and internal module libraries for 10+ teams.
• Support Kubernetes platforms with Docker, GitOps (FluxCD), and develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Drive large complex projects autonomously from design to delivery, acting as Technical Lead on key streams.
• Partner across teams on company-wide initiatives, identify technical debt, risks, and improvements.
• Ensure security, compliance, and regulatory requirements using tools like MS Defender, Sentinel, and support audits.

Requirements

• Australian Citizen is a MUST and ability to pass police background check.
• Strong problem-solving for complex distributed systems, cloud architecture, and infrastructure patterns (Azure services, VNets, WAFs, etc.).
• Experience with Terraform IaC, Kubernetes/Docker/GitOps, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub).
• Clear communication of technical concepts, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Pragmatic approach to security/compliance, documentation, incident response, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with .Net, Python, PowerShell applications.
