What you will do

• Maintain and operate data components including Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Manage and orchestrate databases within Kubernetes environments using StatefulSets and persistent volumes.
• Develop infrastructure services to support a full DevOps model across the engineering team.
• Troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues in collaboration with Engineering and Customer Support.
• Ensure the security, safety, and availability of petabytes of critical business data.

Requirements

• Must be based in Australia
• Hands-on experience with large-scale datastores like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and MySQL.
• Proficiency in operating databases within Kubernetes environments including kubectl, Helm, and YAML manifests.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and bash.
• Experience managing large-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
• Experience working within cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.
