Development/Research Technician

TL;DR

Development/Research Technician (Engine Testing): Installing, wiring, debugging, and commissioning engine test bench equipment and supporting systems with an accent on runtime support, fault handling, and preventive maintenance. Focus on monitoring equipment status, troubleshooting anomalies, ensuring stable operation, and maintaining technical records under strict safety protocols.

Onsite five days a week in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China

What you will do

• Install, wire, debug, and commission engine test benches and related systems
• Provide runtime support during tests, monitor status, and handle faults
• Support daily test bench operations and on-site technical assistance
• Analyze equipment faults and test anomalies, record BIQ issues
• Assist engineers and suppliers with debugging, verification, and system recovery
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and daily care
• Comply with lab operations, EHS standards, and report safety hazards
• Maintain records and documentation for operations, faults, and maintenance

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or related field
• Basic equipment operation and maintenance skills
• Familiarity with Office software
• Strong hands-on ability for installation, debugging, and fault handling
• Knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, or automation principles
• Engine basics, problem analysis skills, safety awareness, and team collaboration

Nice to have

• Experience in engine test labs or related testing
• Familiarity with engine test benches, test systems, or similar equipment
• Participation in equipment installation, debugging, or tech upgrade projects
