What you will do

• Analyze and evaluate VA claim payments to ensure reimbursement compliance with state fee schedules.
• Research, request, and acquire medical records and supporting documentation for claim submission.
• Conduct telephone follow-ups with payers to facilitate prompt reimbursement.
• Prepare and submit initial bill packets or appeal letters using proprietary system tools.
• Maintain strict privacy and security of patient health information (PHI).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 2-4+ years of experience in healthcare billing or collections.
• 1+ years of experience specifically with VA billing and collections.
• 2+ years of client-facing or customer service experience.
• Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and government benefit programs.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
