What you will do

• Review claims data to ensure 3rd party billing requirements, eligibility, and prior authorizations are met.
• Submit claims to private payers, insurance companies, and government programs like Medicaid.
• Investigate and resolve denied claims and payment discrepancies through research and correspondence.
• Post payments and adjustments while ensuring daily deposits are balanced.
• Verify and inform treatment center staff about patient financial accountability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of payment records and generate financial reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to work on-site in Dallas, TX 2 days per week.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and basic accounting principles.
• Experience in billing, collections, or admissions within a healthcare setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a medical office environment.
• Specific experience with Medicaid and VA billing requirements.
• Strong understanding of NPI and taxonomy standards.
