What you will do

• Supervise, coach, and provide leadership and guidance to the AVMA PL Accounting team.
• Oversee cash entry and invoice processing to ensure carriers and brokers are paid timely and accurately.
• Coordinate and review Accounts Receivable reports to identify and correct missing or unusual transactions.
• Prepare and approve balance sheet reconciliations and record necessary journal entries.
• Collaborate with IT and Project Management on the implementation and testing of new systems and product enhancements.
• Manage the annual financial audit and serve as the primary contact for carrier or client audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of related accounting experience in recording and analyzing financial data.
• Proven experience in a leadership role.
• Strong technical skills in financial accounting and reporting systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interaction.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
