What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and test embedded controls algorithms and software for electrification propulsion systems.
• Translate physics-based and controls-based requirements into robust mechatronic control and diagnostics software.
• Demonstrate feature functionality and readiness through testing at controller, system, and vehicle levels.
• Contribute to common, scalable software solutions across GM-owned platforms.
• Document requirements, link to test cases, and ensure thorough verification of software functionality using automated tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded controls software development.
• Proficient in C, C++ programming.
• Good knowledge of Model-Based SW development process.
• Familiarity with tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, MATLAB/Simulink, ETAS INCA, or Vector CANape.
• Good knowledge of distributed version control systems like GIT or Plastic.
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and ability to collaborate across organizations in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded controls software development.
• Experience with JIRA and Scaled Agile Framework.
• Knowledge of bootloaders, embedded OS, controller communication, diagnostics, AUTOSAR, CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols, or software/system architecture.
