What you will do
- Enable customer transitions from reference designs to production applications for NXP automotive components.
- Develop application-specific software, firmware, and hardware using microcontrollers and processors.
- Build and test proof-of-concept systems and evaluation kits to demonstrate portfolio capabilities.
- Provide high-level technical support, including debugging and troubleshooting complex system-level issues.
- Create technical documentation, application notes, and training materials to facilitate integration.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity in embedded development and share best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems development or applications engineering.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and strong knowledge of Arm-based MCU/MPU architectures.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and ISO 26262 safety standards.
- Expertise in embedded Linux OS and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Strong oral and written English language skills.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with NXP's automotive product portfolio (e.g., S32Z/E, S32N, S32G, S32K).
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts for edge AI deployments.
