What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend systems capturing product, usage, and customer signals across B2B and API surfaces
• Build reliable data pipelines translating raw signals into insights, model evaluations, training datasets, and product improvements
• Develop high-traffic, low-latency services in constrained environments with strict privacy and data-handling requirements
• Collaborate with data science, research, product, and infrastructure teams to identify pain points and enhance quality
• Develop systems for model and product feedback loops, including signal capture, evaluation datasets, and analytical tooling
• Operate with high ownership in a small team across multiple engineering domains

Requirements

• 7+ years professional backend engineering experience in high-scale, product-driven, or infrastructure-heavy environments
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API services, data modeling, reliability, performance, and production operations
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, event systems, logging/telemetry infrastructure, or large-scale data processing
• Comfort working near data science, statistics, ML, or research engineering workflows
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with broad ownership boundaries
• High agency, execution velocity, and willingness to work across backend, data infrastructure, and applied research-adjacent areas
