What you will do

• Own financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for AWS and cloud hosting costs in partnership with FinOps team.
• Build bottoms-up AWS cost forecasts, track actuals vs. forecast, and develop unit cost economics.
• Analyze cost anomalies, optimization opportunities, and maintain cloud cost allocation models.
• Lead monthly financial reviews with Engineering, Product, and Cloud Ops leadership.
• Support monthly close, annual planning, headcount forecasting, and R&D capitalization analysis.
• Develop financial models for business cases and lead special projects as needed.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive Financial Analyst experience, ideally in SaaS or technology company.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including expense forecasting and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud cost concepts (AWS Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, cost allocation).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP and financial planning tools (NetSuite, Adaptive Insights preferred).
• Excellent communication skills to present to Director/VP-level stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to have

• Experience with FinOps tools (AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability).
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to R&D capitalization accounting (ASC 350-40).
• Experience in global, public, or private equity-backed environment.
