Fullstack Software Engineer (AI/AWS): Building modern mission-focused systems for wildfire prevention and response (EMBERPOINT) with an accent on fusing AI/ML insights and real-time data into cloud-native platforms. Focus on developing backend services, middleware, and high-performance 3D visualizations to enable operational decision-making.

Location: Remote (US). Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Salary: $139,600 – $278,300 per year

What you will do

• Build backend and middleware services to ingest and process real-time sensor, telemetry, and AI/ML data streams.
• Develop cloud-native applications and integrations leveraging AWS services and modern software architectures.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline development, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• Create high-performance 3D visualizations using WebGL and Three.js for operational dashboards.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and architects within an Agile/SAFe environment to support operational workflows.
• Produce technical documentation including design specifications and API guidance.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (M.S. preferred).
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, or Python.
• Strong experience with React or Angular and UI-state management (Redux, NgRx).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Must be a US Citizen for government security clearance (Secret level).

Nice to have

• Prior work on Command-and-Control (C2) systems for aerospace or cyber-defense.
• Data integration experience with Kafka, MQTT, AWS Kinesis, or GraphQL.
• Experience with AWS Infrastructure-as-Code and real-time video streaming.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools like Cameo or DOORS NEXT.
• Relevant certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, or Azure Developer Associate.
