What you will do

• Drive technical direction for marketplace shopping and user expression features enabling easy discovery and acquisition of avatar items.
• Architect and evolve infrastructure for 3D content lifecycle, metadata, and behavioral signals in the Avatar ecosystem.
• Oversee core teams building scalable infrastructure, data pipelines, and services for all Marketplace transactions.
• Build and optimize high-performance, low-latency distributed systems handling millions of daily economic interactions.
• Dive hands-on into backend services, data flows, and client architecture to ensure technical excellence.
• Balance technical architecture with product intuition, breaking down long-term requirements into iterative stages.
• Mentor senior engineers and tech leads, fostering a culture of robustness, observability, and reliability.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering or infrastructure with focus on large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in scalable architectures and high-performance systems.
• Strong product intuition to align engineering with user and developer value.
• Full-stack versatility to tackle complex challenges across the tech stack.
• Proven leadership in driving technical decisions across teams and mentoring seniors.
• BS in Computer Science or related field (MS/PhD preferred).
