What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services, internal platforms, and shared infrastructure for data pipelines, analytics, and applications.
• Architect and manage AWS cloud-native systems with focus on reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency using Terraform.
• Enable data platforms and ML-adjacent workloads through backend services integrating databases, object storage, and event-driven flows.
• Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines, observability standards, and participate in on-call rotations for incident response.
• Partner with data and application engineers on APIs, service boundaries, and operational requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years in platform engineering, backend, data engineering, CloudOps, or SRE.
• Strong backend development with production services in Python.
• Hands-on AWS experience (VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, RDS, S3).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Operational mindset for production systems and on-call; work with relational databases.
• Excellent communication for cross-functional, distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Prior data platform, analytics, or ML infrastructure experience.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging, or streaming data.
• Building internal developer platforms or shared infrastructure.
