What you will do

  • Lead discrete workstreams for M&A, portfolio purchases, and market expansion projects.
  • Apply a consulting-style strategic toolkit for market sizing, competitor benchmarking, and business case development.
  • Manage end-to-end transaction execution, including commercial due diligence, valuation, and negotiation support.
  • Drive post-completion integration to translate deal theses into practical workplans and KPIs.
  • Conduct research on UK banking, SME lending, and macroeconomic trends to support strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare concise, high-impact reports and investor materials for Executive and Board-level decision-making.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience, with a strong preference for top-tier strategy consulting (e.g., MBB).
  • Expertise in structured problem solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, and commercial judgement.
  • Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills, including Excel modelling and valuation concepts.
  • Exposure to M&A, commercial due diligence, or post-merger integration planning.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and written communication skills for senior-ready materials.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the London office (Hybrid).
