What you will do

• Design, debug, and deliver electrical hardware features for the LifeVest system.
• Develop design criteria, technical specifications, and provide input on hardware architecture decisions.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis on devices and support sustaining engineering activities.
• Perform design studies for future generation products.
• Mentor junior employees and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate with external resources and manage project scopes and timelines.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical hardware design, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Experience in the medical device sector or similarly regulated industries (e.g., Aerospace, Nuclear).
• Proficiency with general engineering lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
• Technical expertise in high-precision analog, EMC/EMI, or high-voltage defibrillation circuitry.
• Must be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Nice to have

• Experience with wireless communication or handheld/wearable devices.
• Knowledge of firmware and hardware/software integration.
• Experience with regulatory compliance standards.
