TL;DR
Lead Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/DevOps): Own the operational backbone of the PaaS platform, managing cluster lifecycle, GitOps pipelines, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code with an accent on platform reliability and scalability. Focus on designing multi-cluster management, etcd operations, autoscaling, and deployment standards to ensure deployable, testable, and maintainable systems at scale.

What you will do
- Manage full Kubernetes cluster lifecycle: provisioning, upgrades, scaling, and decommissioning using Cluster API and custom controllers.
- Operate and maintain etcd, including backup/restore, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Design, standardize, and maintain platform-wide GitOps architecture.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integration testing on ephemeral environments and release management.
- Manage node pools, autoscaling mechanisms, deployment, and rollback standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support critical platform incidents.
Requirements
- Strong experience as DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineer operating Kubernetes in production.
- Deep understanding of GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux for multi-product platforms.
- Hands-on with Cluster API and multi-cluster management.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines, integration testing, and release processes.
- Proficiency in Go and good knowledge of Python.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
Nice to have
- Experience with etcd operations, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes upgrade strategies, certificate rotation, and rolling upgrades.
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience deploying and operating Harbor with S3-backed storage.
- Familiarity with Kamaji, k3s, or vCluster.
- Experience with multi-cluster solutions like Rancher or Gardener.
- CKA or CKS certification.
- Experience with bare-metal Kubernetes and chaos engineering.
