TL;DR

Lead Data Engineer (Databricks): Building, maintaining, and improving central HR data lake aggregating data from multiple systems with an accent on reliable, analytics-ready datasets for tools, AI applications, and teams. Focus on integrating sources like SAP SuccessFactors, implementing dbt models, developing optimized pipelines, partnering with stakeholders, and ensuring data quality and governance.

Location: Warszawa, Poland (hybrid working model)

What you will do

  • Build and operate Databricks Lakehouse / Data Lake for enterprise HR data.
  • Integrate multiple data sources like SAP SuccessFactors and ServiceNow for seamless data flow.
  • Implement and maintain analytics-ready data models in dbt, converting exploratory datasets into trusted ones.
  • Develop, refactor, and optimize data pipelines using AI-assisted tools in Databricks.
  • Provide curated datasets for internal tools, AI-driven applications, and reporting.
  • Partner with analysts, IT, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Monitor and improve data quality, governance, and performance.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Python.
  • Extensive experience with analytics engineering tools such as dbt.
  • Skilled in designing modular data systems using Design Thinking.
  • Experience enforcing data governance and access management.
  • Strong awareness of privacy, security, and compliance; careful handling of sensitive data.
  • Curious, pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
