Data Engineer (Azure)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (Azure): Developing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines for lab data solutions with an accent on data warehousing and scalable data processing. Focus on building end-to-end ingest/egress frameworks, integrating disparate data sources, and improving data maturity.

Location: Remote (Must be based in Italy or Poland)

Salary: From 160,000 PLN gross (for Poland) + 10% target incentive

What you will do

• Own end-to-end ingest and egress frameworks for data pipelines to produce valuable data products.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines from scratch using disparate data types, including legacy databases and documents.
• Design and roadmap the organization's data maturity.
• Collaborate with software developers, data scientists, and architects to develop data solutions for the lab.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipeline infrastructure.
• Apply automated test-driven development, CI/CD, and version control best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience creating ETL/ELT pipelines from scratch.
• 3+ years of proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Must be based in Italy or Poland.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or AWS and containerization tooling.
• Knowledge of Airflow, Spark, and Pandas.
• Proficiency with PowerBI and visualization tools.
• Experience working in Linux environments and version control using Git/Github.
