What you will do
- Architect and manage the AWS environment for scalability, cost efficiency, and multi-region readiness using Terraform.
- Establish a reliability program from the ground up, defining SLIs/SLOs and improving incident response and observability.
- Define and own the platform security posture, supporting SOC 2 certification and PCI-DSS compliance.
- Build a world-class developer experience through internal platforms, CI/CD, and specialized tooling.
- Grow, mentor, and scale the platform engineering team by hiring senior SREs and platform engineers.
- Partner with the CTO and VP of Engineering to define the technical strategy and platform roadmap.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, containerization, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- 4+ years of experience leading, hiring, and scaling platform teams.
- Proven track record of designing reliability programs (SLIs/SLOs, on-call, incident management) at scale.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI-DSS) within a SaaS or fintech context.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexity into business impact.
- Pragmatic startup or scale-up mindset with a strong bias toward action.
