What you will do

• Lead end-to-end security risk assessments for cloud-native and hybrid deployments.
• Evaluate third-party products during onboarding to ensure compliance and security standards.
• Conduct security reviews for AI/ML-based products, focusing on guardrail enforcement and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and developers to embed security into the SDLC.
• Maintain high-quality risk documentation and track controls using GRC tools.
• Communicate complex security risks and mitigation strategies in business-relevant language.

Requirements

• Proven ability to independently lead security risk assessments across diverse technologies.
• Experience in third-party security risk management processes and platforms.
• Strong understanding of Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, and Network security.
• Knowledge of DLP, Endpoint protection, CSPM, CASB, PAM, and ZTNA.
• Location: Must be based in Halifax, Canada

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Familiarity with ISO27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST AI RMF.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud security controls.
• Experience in healthcare or manufacturing environments.
