What you will do
- Lead and mentor a group of up to 100 Student Advocates across different schools and regions.
- Facilitate monthly calls and maintain regular communication via Slack to build confidence and explore ideas.
- Act as the primary bridge between Student Advocates and the FT, ensuring feedback and suggestions are shared in both directions.
- Collaborate with the FT Schools team to develop and implement projects that make the FT more compelling for young people.
- Gather feedback from advocates and connect with teachers to provide updates on student progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment for all students in the programme.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate university student.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage regular follow-up activity.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team.
- Confidence working remotely and communicating across digital channels (Slack, video calls).
- High levels of motivation and initiative.
Nice to have
- Experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or supporting younger students.
- Experience leading a student society, club, campaign, or peer network.
- An interest in education, journalism, media, business, economics, or current affairs.
- Familiarity with the FT and/or FT Schools.
