TL;DR
Lead Software Engineer - Python (AI): Developing and deploying generative AI services and pipelines on AWS with an accent on Python, LLM frameworks, FastAPI, and CI/CD automation. Focus on building scalable production systems, integrating cloud infrastructure, and leading engineers on complex, highly visible projects.
Location: Kosice, Slovakia; onsite
Salary: €4,600+ gross per month; base minimum pay €52,824 per year, plus performance-related annual cash incentive

What you will do
- Develop and deploy generative AI solutions using Python and object-oriented programming.
- Build FastAPI services and AI pipelines with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Crew.ai, and Apache Airflow.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and deploy solutions on AWS using CloudFormation.
- Refactor analytics solutions for production scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
- Lead people, monitor projects, and provide mentorship and technical guidance.
- Act as project lead for complex, highly visible projects in collaboration with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.
Requirements
- Experience developing software applications with Python and/or Go, with solid knowledge of object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Python libraries and frameworks including FastAPI, LangGraph, and LangChain.
- Knowledge of software development tools, software product design, integration, and the software development life cycle.
- Experience with Git version control on medium- to large-sized teams.
- Experience deploying software with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills, including experience working in cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS components such as SageMaker Studio, Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS.
