Location: Cologne, Germany (hybrid with Work from Home; up to 20 days/year anywhere in the EU)

What you will do

• Define and own enterprise analytics architecture across Fabric and Databricks, aligning with business scale and data strategy.
• Architect and optimize large-scale semantic and data models including incremental refresh, partitioning, and composite models.
• Establish governed metrics layer with DBT for clear metric definitions and versioned transformations.
• Design data governance and access control using Unity Catalog, RBAC, RLS/OLS, and workspace isolation.
• Lead system-level performance diagnostics across data modeling, DAX, Spark, capacity, and governance.

Requirements

• Strong production experience with Fabric / Power BI Premium capacity, including high user concurrency performance.
• Hands-on expertise in Databricks and SparkSQL, including performance optimization and Unity Catalog governance.
• Experience building and scaling metrics layer architecture (DBT preferred) in enterprise environments.
• Systems thinking for diagnosing complex performance issues across modeling, compute, and capacity layers.
